Travel Incentive Destination - Megeve

Megeve

Megève exudes old-fashioned charm with narrow streets, small squares, trendy boutiques, quality antique shops, crowded bistros, dozens of small hotels, even an old-style bakery wafting the smell of fresh bread through the square.

The small village is huddled around the old church, a medieval tower and the town hall. The upper crust of Europe and especially France make Megève their winter home when cold weather forces them to abandon the Riviera. You can spend your nights in packed jazz clubs, lively bars or wandering along romantic streets. Like Zermatt, Megève has a look that Walt Disney might have imagined had he created a ski resort, from its Old World town buildings to its narrow streets, its art deco deluxe hotels to its perfect French country inns, and from its gourmet restaurants to its pulsing late-night casinos and discos. Megève has got something for everyone.

For skiers, Megève’s own ski area is fairly chilled out, but the town has leveraged its ambiance with the slopes of neighbouring towns, creating an area with exceptional variety of terrain. It links the slopes of neighbouring Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, St. Nicolas de Véroce and Combloux, creating an overall skiing domain of almost 200 miles of trails with something for every level of skier.
