Canyoning

Accompanied by your mountain guides, you will abseil down waterfalls, slide down water smoothed rocks, scramble over boulders, and jump into pools of white water as you work your way down the canyon. A truly memorable experience…..you’ll never forget.

White Water Rafting
The Alps are home to some of the most spectacular and thrilling white water rafting routes and Chamonix and Aosta in Italy are no exception. The Dora Baltee just through the tunnel in Aosta is a grade 3-5 river and is renowned as being one of the top descents in Europe although no experience is required.

Hydrospeeding
Who needs a raft when you’ve got a hydrospeed!  You will be body rafting down the rapids, equipped with a hydrospeed (a type of float), a helmet, some flippers and wetsuit.  You’ll steer yourself down the course of the river accompanied by a qualified guide.

Canoe Rafting
Be your own skipper in an inflatable canoe.  With 2 people on board you will steer yourselves down the course of the river, navigating small rapids.

Paragliding
A “must do” in Chamonix!  You will fly in tandem with a qualified paragliding pilot and witness some of the most spectacular scenery in the Alps! Don’t forget your camera.

Guided hikes
Although the Chamonix valley is packed with well marked trails the best way to really get into the back country is to take a high mountain guide or accompagnateur.  They know the mountains like the back of their hand and they love to share their local knowledge with you.

4 x 4 Driving Adventure
You are split into small teams.  Each team has its own off-road Land Rover (up to 18 vehicles possible).  Out in the back country way above the valley you will need to follow clues to guide you to the finish.  You will then have a rustic Savoyard feast at a stunning working farm overlooking some of the most breathtaking scenery. An amazing event!

Via Ferrata
A safe but still thrilling way to experience rock-climbing.  Using iron wrungs that you are roped into, you can enjoy the huge sense of achievement when you complete your first pitch.

Rock climbing
There is no other activity as rewarding as rock climbing.  Equipped with ropes, harnesses and helmets, you will be taught by one of the most experienced rock climbing instructors, the basic techniques and safety drills before starting your first ascent. As you reach your first summit the sense of achievement really is second to none!!

Mountain biking
Following lunch you will meet with your professional mountain bike guides who will lead you through some of the most beautiful itineraries in the Alps.  Those who feel brave can up the anti and adventure off-road whilst the others can take it a bit easier and take in the spectacular scenery. You will be riding full suspension bikes and all safety equipment will be provided.

Glacier Adventure
You will travel on the famous Montenvers mountain railway to get to the Mer du Glace.  Accompanied by your mountain guides, you will be kitted out with safety harnesses, ropes, crampons and ice axes.  You will descend onto the glacier where you will learn ice techniques before beginning your glacier hike.  This is a rare opportunity to adventure onto a glacier.

Hot Air Ballooning
After a 40 min transfer to the take off location, you will learn about the hot air balloon and help the pilots to inflate your balloon. As a fleet of balloons, you will all take off on the flight of a life time taking in the breathtaking scenery on the way. After about an hour in the air you will start your descent - landing location unknown until the last minute. On landing you will be met by the team and celebrate this experience with a glass of champagne

Panoramic Helicopter Flight
This is absolutely amazing if your budget can stretch! With 5 people max in each helicopter we will take you on a breathtaking 30min helicopter flight to the summit of Mont Blanc (4810m), the highest mountain in Western Europe. Soaring above the glaciers, Aiguille Rouge and les trois Mont Blanc until you hover above the famous curved summit of Mont Blanc! Similar flights are available in Zermatt and Austria.
